when asked about the proof [of Allah] and the Imam after him, said, my son Muhammad will be the Imam and the proof after me. Whoever dies without acknowledging him [as the Imam] has died a death of ignorance. Know that certainly he will have an occultation, about which the ignorant will be left confused, the impugners will be ruined and those who predict a specific time [for his reappearance] will lie. Then he will emerge and it is as if I can see the white flags hovering above his head in Najaf [near] Kufa.'

751	What does this ayah mean	Salamu alaykum, While i was reading the english translation of the Holy Quran i stumbled upon this translation وَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً فَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper. 1105	2:62	Salamunalyakum, I would like to understand the following verse as translated in almizan.org: 2:62 Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabaeans, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve. Here it appears to mean that even present day christians or jews 'whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve'. It is obligatory to believe in Prophet Muhammad and the twelve imams to seek salvation on the Day of Judgement.
