Pearl of Wisdom

'Know that acts of courtesy earn Praiseworthy results, and end in rewardable gains. If you were to see acts of courtesy personified as a man, you would perceive him to be good and handsome, pleasing for people to behold and transcending all the worlds. And if you were to see acts of vileness personified, you would perceive an ugly, revolting, disfigured man, whom the hearts would be averse to and whom the eyes would turn away from in disgust.'

Imam Hussain ibn Ali al-Shahid [as]
A'lam al-Din, p. 298

The word “act” (fiil) is mentioned 108 times in the Quran. The acts we perform will be responded (ecir) when the time comes. Whether we like or dislike the respond (ecir), it will be the consequence of our acts (fiil). And these words, “act” (fiil) and “respond” (ecir) in close relations to each other, are used in equal number in the Quran, 108 times each. It is the Quran’s miracle to perform such a perfect mathematical miracle as a whole even though it was completed piecemeal as circumstances necessitated.

There is not a second book which has so many mathematical lexical concordance and miracles. The Quran not only presents miracles from space high above to depths of the oceans, from mother’s womb to animal kingdoms, it also shows mathematical miracles by using words and phrases in concordance. It also accomplishes an important mission by introducing our creator to us.
