After resuming the land grants made by `Uthman ibn `Affan, he said:

Pearl of Wisdom

'The fault that lies within a man's own self is more than enough to prevent him from prying into other people's faults, which he himself possesses but to which he is blind; or from blaming others for that which he himself is unable to abandon; or from bothering the one he is sitting next to by prying into matters that are none of his business.'

By Allah, even if I had found that by such money women have been married or slave-maids have been purchased I would have resumed it because there is wide scope in dispensation of justice, and he who finds it hard to act justly should find it harder to deal with injustice.
