Pearl of Wisdom

'When our Qa?im will rise, Allah will remove all defects from our shi'a. He will make their hearts like pieces of iron, and he will make the strength of a man from among them equal the strength of forty men. They will be the rulers and chiefs of the earth.'

Imam Ali ibn Hussain Zayn al-'Abidin [as]

Question : #884 Category: Salaat / Prayers
Subject: jumuah prayer
Question: Salam.
i am a new convert to Shia islam at aged 33 from Sunni madhab.

My question is when praying jumah behind the ahlul sunnah imam. i pronounce surah hamd in a low voice that i cannot hear but when the imam reads the next surah after surah hamd it is difficult for me to copy him, should i ignore listening to that and recite a surah of my own for example surah ikhlas or something similar. and after my prayer has finished do i do the takbirs (3) in my heart and mind (actions). before the imam has finished his salat. Jazakallah khair.
