Question : #884 Category: Salaat / Prayers
Subject: jumuah prayer
Question: Salam.
i am a new convert to Shia islam at aged 33 from Sunni madhab.

My question is when praying jumah behind the ahlul sunnah imam. i pronounce surah hamd in a low voice that i cannot hear but when the imam reads the next surah after surah hamd it is difficult for me to copy him, should i ignore listening to that and recite a surah of my own for example surah ikhlas or something similar. and after my prayer has finished do i do the takbirs (3) in my heart and mind (actions). before the imam has finished his salat. Jazakallah khair.
