Pearl of Wisdom

when asked about the [meaning of the] saying of Abu Dharr: There are three things that people hate but I love: I love death and I love poverty and I love tribulation , said, 'This is not as they have understood it. What he meant is that death in the obedience of Allah is more beloved to me than a life of disobedience to Allah; poverty in the obedience of Allah is more beloved to me than wealth [accompanied] with disobedience to Allah, and tribulation [accompanied] with obedience to Allah is more beloved to me than good health with disobedience to Allah.'

Question : #653 Category: Salaat / Prayers
Subject: Zuhr + Asr prayers
Question: As-Salaam Alaykom,

I was wondering if it's ok to read the Asr prayer before the designated prayer time for Asr. For example, in my region Asr prayer is @ 3:30pm, but I pray both my Zuhr and Asr prayer before this time, is my prayer still accepted?

JazaakAllah Khair
Answer: Bismillah

Salaam alaikum. Inshallah all is well.
Based on narrations from the Holy Prophet and our beloved Imams, Shia jurists have concluded, although it's better to pray the Asr prayer at a time later than right after Zhuhr, it is allowed to perform them together. Therefore, your prayers are accepted, inshallah.
Keep me in your prayers.
