Pearl of Wisdom

Singing (or music) is one of the things that Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has threatened to requite with the Fire, and this is the purport of Allah's verse: ''Among the people is he who buys diversionary words that he may lead [people] astray from Allah's way without any knowledge, and he takes it in derision.'

Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq [as]
Kitab man la yahdurahi al-Faqih, v. 4, p. 58, no. 5092

Question : #653 Category: Salaat / Prayers
Subject: Zuhr + Asr prayers
Question: As-Salaam Alaykom,

I was wondering if it's ok to read the Asr prayer before the designated prayer time for Asr. For example, in my region Asr prayer is @ 3:30pm, but I pray both my Zuhr and Asr prayer before this time, is my prayer still accepted?

JazaakAllah Khair
Answer: Bismillah

Salaam alaikum. Inshallah all is well.
Based on narrations from the Holy Prophet and our beloved Imams, Shia jurists have concluded, although it's better to pray the Asr prayer at a time later than right after Zhuhr, it is allowed to perform them together. Therefore, your prayers are accepted, inshallah.
Keep me in your prayers.
