Subject: Nisab on Salaries
Question: How much is the nisab on Salary? It is same as gold that I just need to convert it? Let say my Salary per month is 12,000.00 Philippines currency. So, how much will be my nisab? Should I pay zakatul Maal for it?

Salaam alaikum. Inshallah all is well. According to the majority of Shia scholars, zakat doesn't apply to earnings unless it is in gold coins that are used as currency. There are only some who believe it applies to capital invested I business.
