Pearl of Wisdom

'I heard Husayn (AS) say, 'If a man were to insult me in this ear pointing to his right ear and excuse himself to me in the other, I would accept that [excuse] from him, and that is because the Commander of the Faithful 'Ali b. Abi Talib (AS) narrated to me that he had heard my grandfather, Imam Husayn b. ?Ali (AS) the Prophet (SAWA) say, 'The one who does not accept the excuse of someone, be he right or wrong, will not arrive at the Heavenly Waters.'

Question: I would like to one thing regarding (Nazari Bad) as pronounced in farsi.

There are many things happening in my life which I think is caused by Nazari Bad.

whenever I think about it, it really makes me sad and hopeless.

according to islamic thought, Is it true that if you regard something like nazari bad or evil eye important or consider it, then it affects you immensely and if you dont even think about or disregard it, then it won't affect you?

Thank You All
Answer: In verse 51 of Suratul Qalam, we read:

"And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder"

It is possible injury by means of an evil eye does can be inflected, but as Imam Jafar Sadiq says: "An evil omen affects only in the measure you consider it to possess. If you take it lightly, its influence would be trivial, but if you regard it seriously, it would affect you immensely and if you totally disregard it, it would have no effect."

So the Imam's hadith responds to your questions.

Salams.
