Pearl of Wisdom

with regard to two of his companions who went to be judged before a tyrant in a dispute they had about a loan or inheritance, said, 'Whoever goes to be judged before a tyrant and he judges in favour of one of them, whatever he is compensated is unlawful, even if it was rightfully his, because he took it by judgment of a tyrant when Allah has ordered him to reject the tyrant.'

Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq [as]
al-Kafi, v. 7, p. 412, no. 5

Question : #519 Category: Islamic History
Subject: Prophet
Question: How did the prophet become to be?
Answer: As depicted in hadith and sirah sources, the cave in Mount Hira, two miles north of Mecca, was the place where the first divine message was sent down.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) was appointed by God to those whom He selected from among His good servants, from those who were exalted among mankind. We believe that Allah sent the Prophets to teach people wisdom and knowledge and the ways of happiness and goodness.

The first revelation occurred when the Prophet was praying in the cave. This revelation, descending to the Prophet in his perfect awareness, began with the Almighty God's words,

"In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. Read in the Name of your Lord Who created. Who created man from a clot." [96:1-5].

His mission commenced from this point, as the last and final Prophet & Messenger of God.
