Pearl of Wisdom

was asked by 'Abd al-Muinin al-Ansari, 'Verily some people narrated from the Prophet (SAWA) that he said, The separation of my community is a mercy and they were truthful, so I ask that if their separation is a mercy then is their congregation a chastisement?', to which the Imam replied, 'It is not as you understand it nor as they understood it, actually he meant the saying of Allah, But why should not there go forth a group from each of their sections ... so He commanded them to go forth to the Prophet (SAWA) and to frequent him and learn from him then to return to their people and teach them, so what is meant is [physical] separation from their cities, not separation or difference with regards to the religion of Allah, for verily the religion of Allah is one.'

Answer: We advise you to read the Holy Quran, particularly the four chapters that begin with "Qul" i.e. "Qul howallahu ahad", "Qul yaa ayyohal kaferoon", "Qul a'uzo berabbil falagh", and "Qul yaa ayyohal kaferoon".

Recite Quran with voice at home, as the light of Quran will drive away evil from home. Recite Sura Falaq and Sura Naas as many times as you can. Recite Ayatul Kursi atleast seven times a day.

Further recitation of Surah Falaq and Surah Annaas is very useful to avoid evil eyes and other harms. It is also useful to repeatedly recite "Maasha' Allah, La Hawla wala Qowwata Illa Billah.”

Remember that no one can kill another person by black magic, though black magic is existing and it is among the major sins, and it can cause harm, but we can be protected if we seek the help from Allah and recite Quran and Dua.
