Pearl of Wisdom

'Visit each other for verily your visits revive your own hearts and act as a reminder of our traditions, and our traditions in turn awaken affection in you towards each other. If you adopt our traditions you shall be rightly guided and shall attain salvation, and if you abandon them you will stray and perish, so do adopt them and I will guarantee your salvation.'

Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq [as]
al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 186, no. 2

Question : #261 Category: Taharat / Najasat
Subject: how to purify urine on cloths
Question: Assuming a drop of urine comes into contact with one’s body or clothes and thus najisates it, how may one purify one’s body/clothes in such cases?
Answer: After the elimination of the concrete najāsah (from the body/clothes), the body/clothes ought to be washed either
(a) twice with qalīl water in which case they will be deemed pure once the (second) used water is removed or
(b) once with kurr water so that the kurr water contacts and passes through all the najis area.
