'Whoever wants to trade must learn his religion thoroughly in order to know what is allowed and what is forbidden for him; and whoever does not learn about his religion and then practices trading will certainly get entangled into uncertainties and problems.?

Subject: khums and tax deductions
Question: In our society there are certain associations where a portion of our khums has been allowed to go to. As these associations are currently in Australia they are also tax deductible recipients.

If we give khums, is it permitted for us to claim a tax deduction in relation to that khums provided?
