Question : #157 Category: The Hereafter
Subject: life in Heaven Jannah
Question: If in heaven you are granted anything you desire, if you wished it could you spend time with someone - that may not be in heaven?

Or would your belief and love for Allah s.w.a be at such a point that you forget all other wants? Do we then essentially become new people in heaven?

Hopefully that makes sense :)
Answer: Bismillah

Salaam Alaikum. Inshallah this finds you well. We do have in the verses of the Holy Quran those which indicate believers will receive anything they desire. However, we know that in paradise there will be no desire towards evil. Therefore, if desiring to speak with those who aren't in paradise is in fact evil, we will not desire it. However, if it isn't evil it will be possible. We do have in some of the verses of the Holy Quran mention of conversations that will take place between believers in paradise and those in Hell fire. However, these conversations aren't to enjoy the company of the disbelievers. It seems, enjoying the company of disbelievers is considered undesirable for believers.
