Subject: which taqleed to follow?
Question: I wish to follow a taqleed but based on what do I decide because I am new to the faith and Shia Jaffaria school of thought
Answer: Salaam alaykum,

First let me welcome you with all of my heart to the faith. We are required to follow the most knowledgeable marja'. In order to ascertain which one is the most knowledgeable we can use the following methods:

1. One marja' is commonly known amongst the people as the most knowledgeable.

2. One has certainty that a certain marja' is the most knowledgeable.

3. Two just people from the ahl al-khibrah (mujtahids or those close to ijtihad) inform on who the most knowledgeable is.

Question:		 Please tell me what's the meaning of اعلم فالاعلم and in case of precautions in some fatwa how we can know who is اعلم فالاعلم to refer to?
, for instance between AYatollah sistani and Ayatollah makarem shirazi who is اعلم?
