Pearl of Wisdom

'The promise of a believer to his brother is a vow for which there is no [prescribed] penance, so he who breaks a promise has first broken his promise to Allah and subjects himself to His discontentment, as Allah says: O you who have faith! Why do you say what you do not do?

Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq [as]
al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 363, no. 1

Question : #1018 Category: Wudhu / Ghusal
Subject: wudhu before salah
Question: Assalamu Alaikom
What is Sistani's ruling on performing wudhu before salah?
For example, can I do wudhu at like 9:00am in the morning and go to uni. Then when it's Dhuhr at 11:42am, would my prayer be valid?
Your answer will be much appreciated!
Thank you! :)
